Fair Use Policy

Last updated: 15 May 2026

TL;DR: Use RunBeat to run your radio station. "Unlimited" means no hard cap for normal station operations — not infinite resources for non-radio purposes. If your usage is wildly outside what a radio station would need, we'll have a conversation before taking any action.

What "Unlimited" Means

When we say "unlimited" on features like CMS content, compliance checks, contract envelopes, or CRM contacts (on higher tiers), we mean there is no hard numerical cap for normal radio station use. You won't hit a wall mid-month or be asked to upgrade because you published one too many articles.

However, "unlimited" does not mean infinite or unrestricted. All unlimited features are subject to this fair use policy, which exists to ensure platform stability and fair resource allocation across all customers.

Fair Use Boundaries

The following boundaries define normal use. Usage within these limits will never be questioned or restricted:

Feature Fair Use Boundary
CMS Pages & ArticlesUp to 5,000 published items per station
Compliance Checks (unlimited tiers)Up to 5,000 checks/month per station
Contract Envelopes (unlimited tiers)Up to 500 envelopes/month per station
CRM Contacts (unlimited tiers)Up to 100,000 contacts per station
Engage AI ConversationsUp to 5,000 AI conversations/month per station
Streaming BandwidthUp to 10TB data transfer/month per station
Media StorageWithin your tier's stated allowance
API RequestsUp to 50,000 requests/day per station
Workflows & AutomationsUp to 10,000 executions/month per station
File Uploads (per file)50MB maximum per file

These boundaries are deliberately generous — they exceed what 99% of radio stations would ever need. A busy commercial station typically uses 200-500 compliance checks/month, sends 20-50 contracts, and has 2,000-10,000 CRM contacts.

Prohibited Use

RunBeat subscriptions are for operating radio stations and related broadcasting businesses. The following uses are prohibited:

What Happens If You Exceed Fair Use

We don't cut you off without warning. If your usage exceeds the fair use boundaries:

  1. We'll contact you — usually by email — to understand your use case
  2. We'll work with you to find the right solution (upgrade, add-on pack, or custom plan)
  3. You'll have 14 days to adjust usage or agree to a plan change
  4. Only after that would we apply any restrictions — and only to the specific feature being overused

Your existing content, broadcasts, and data are never deleted or interrupted due to fair use enforcement. We'll always give you time and options.

Data Export

You can export your data at any time. Bulk exports (more than 500 records at once) are available after 30 days of active subscription. This prevents sign-up-and-scrape abuse while ensuring legitimate customers always have access to their data.

Minimum Commitments

Most tiers have no minimum commitment — cancel anytime. However:

After the minimum period, you can cancel at any time with access continuing until the end of your current billing period.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make changes that reduce fair use boundaries, existing customers will be grandfathered at their current limits for at least 12 months. We'll always give at least 30 days' notice of any changes.
